Stop the Tucking

I honestly don’t what kids are calling it these days. It used to be SRS, sex reassignment surgery, and now it’s either GRS, gender reassignment surgery, or GCS, gender confirmation surgery. This old transsexual woman can barely keep up.

Needless to say, I started this journey in 1988 at the age of 28. It was earlier than many, but later than some. Back in that time, finding others like me was hard. Convincing an inexperienced doctor to treat me was even harder. Fortunately, my generation’s struggles have made transition significantly more accessible today.

I’ve been tucking long enough. It’s time to get this surgery over with. It will be one less stressor on my life and I will be able to concentrate my energies on other things. However, I need your help. Please consider donating to my effort.
